Kargil: Executive Councilor, Health, Agriculture & Revenue LAHDC, Kargil Mohsin Ali who is stationed at Shakar Chiktan Sub Division for the last three days to access the situation of flash flood affected areas today visited Shakar.
He visited the flood-affected areas along with Councilor Shakar Constituency Zakir Hussain, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar and incharge Police Post Chiktan.
Due to flash flood in the afternoon of July 27, the building of NTPHC and Shining Star Private School have completely destroyed and also damaged Imam Bargah building.
The EC after accessing the situation passed directions to run the NTPHC in a private building so that people get proper medical facilities.
He also directed to merge the students of Shining Star Private School with Girls Middle School Shakar so that students do not get affected.
The work on clearance of road between Shakardoo to Shakar Sapi is in full swing and the EC personally monitored work on spot and intimated that the road will re-open in next few days.
The power restoration work will start from today after 2 p.m. as men and machinery have dispatched from district Headquarter today.
The EC requested the residents to be vigilant and take care of elders and children and avoid unnecessary movement till the weather improves and contact him in case of any emergency.
