Army Observes World Polio Day in Remote Ladakh Villages

Ladakh, Oct 25 – The Indian Army observed World Polio Day 2025 by conducting vaccination drives across several remote border villages of Ladakh, reaffirming its support to the National Polio Eradication Mission.
Army medical teams administered polio drops in villages across Zanskar and Suru Valleys, Government Higher Secondary School Bimbat, Army Goodwill School Farona, and remote locations including Kumbathang and Hanle.
In addition to the vaccination drive, Army Medical Officers held awareness lectures on the importance of polio prevention and maintaining immunisation schedules. The initiative received an encouraging response from local residents, who appreciated the Army’s sustained outreach in hard-to-access areas.
