ICDS Project Shargole Celebrates Poshan Maah, Sewa Parv; Distributes Vidyarambh Certificates

Kargil, October 03, 2025: The ICDS Project Shargole celebrated Poshan Maah and Sewa Parv at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Shargole under the supervision of CDPO Shargole.
The event was attended by Naib Tehsildar Mohd Ali and his team from Tehsil Office Shargole, Medical Officer and ANM from BMO Shargole, Principal Mohammad Naqi and teachers from GHSS Shargole, Rahila Khatoon from LRLM, Supervisors Kacho and Punchok, and Block Coordinator from ICDS Shargole, along with Anganwadi Workers from Shargole and Mulbekh Zone.
The event saw active participation from beneficiaries, including children, pregnant and lactating women, SHG members from Shargole, and villagers. The program began with a welcome speech by Kacho Mustafa, followed by CDPO Shargole introducing the exhibited local foods to the guests and attendees.
The highlight of the event was the distribution of Vidyarambh certificates to 5-6 year-old beneficiaries by the guest and special personalities. CDPO Shargole interacted with participants, emphasizing the importance of local foods. The Medical Officer shared insights on reducing sugar, salt, and oil consumption to combat obesity and highlighted foods beneficial for anemia and malnutrition. The ANM discussed the benefits of breastfeeding and colostrum.
Rahila from LRLM shared her views on the event, while the PTM of GHSS Shargole emphasized the importance of physical exercise in daily life. The Block Coordinator of ICDS Shargole briefed participants about the PMMVY scheme and how to avail this benefit.
