Kargil, September 20, 2025: The District De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) Kargil, in collaboration with IKMT, JUIAK, and the Department of Education Kargil, organized an important Awareness Program on Drug Abuse and Its Prevention Measures at Sawab Public High School Baroo, Kargil.
Mohmad, Project Coordinator of DDAC Kargil, delivered the introductory address, highlighting the rising concerns of drug abuse in the Kargil district. He also informed the audience about the free treatment and support services available at the DDAC Centre for individuals struggling with addiction. He encouraged students and participants to stay away from harmful substances and to spread awareness within their families, friends, and communities.
Aga Syed Ali Musavi, representing IKMT Kargil, shared his impactful thoughts on the importance of life, discipline, and strong moral values. He explained how drug abuse threatens the well-being of society and urged students to uphold positive values in their lives.
Aga Syed Raza Rizvi, from JUIAK, also addressed the gathering and delivered an inspiring talk on the causes and dangers of drug abuse. He called upon everyone to recognize their responsibilities and work collectively to prevent the spread of this menace in the community.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ravi Kumar Sir, InCharge Principal of Sawab Public High School Baroo, Kargil. He expressed deep gratitude to DDAC, IKMT, JUIAK, and the Department of Education for their joint efforts in guiding the younger generation toward a healthier, safer, and more responsible future.
