Kargil: The Government Degree College Nobra wrapped up a vibrant week-long celebration of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign today, marking an enthusiastic culmination of activities aimed at fostering patriotism and awareness about the national flag among students and the local community.
Throughout the week, students actively engaged in spreading awareness about the importance and symbolism of the Tiranga. On August 5, they interacted with locals, sensitizing them on the significance of the national flag.
A key highlight was on August 8, when students gave a detailed demonstration of the formal procedures and protocols involved in the hoisting and folding of the national flag, sharing this knowledge with netizens.
The valedictory session held today began with insightful speeches by students Sanju Kumari and Zara Batul, who spoke on the history of the Tiranga and the broader objectives of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
This was followed by a lively quiz competition themed “Know Your Constitution and National Symbols,” featuring three student teams from various semesters.
The winners were awarded prizes for their outstanding performance.
In his closing address, Principal Professor Rigzin Sangdup emphasized the importance of respecting national symbols and adhering to flag protocols.
He encouraged students to nurture a deep sense of patriotism and national pride.
The entire campaign was efficiently coordinated by Assistant Professor Jegmet Sangyas from the Department of Political Science.
