Leh: Deputy Commissioner Leh Romil Singh Donk chaired a meeting to review preparations for the 79th Independence Day celebrations.
The meeting discussed venue readiness, programme schedule, flag hoisting, speeches, marching contingents, band performances, cultural events, pavilion construction, security, public address system installation, refreshments, medical facilities, invitations, seating, decoration, traffic management, and an air show by the Indian Air Force.
The DC directed officials to complete all arrangements well in advance to ensure smooth conduct of the event.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Mohd, Chief Planning Officer Tsewang Gyalson, and other officers.
