Leh : Deputy Commissioner Leh Romil Singh Donk conducted a tour of Tehsil Sumoor, visiting the tehsil headquarters, Yarab Tso, Panamic Hot Springs, and Khardong village to review development projects and address public grievances.
At the Community Hall in Sumoor, Nambardars presented a memorandum listing key issues, including poor network connectivity, Jal Jeevan Mission concerns, flood-prone areas, and inadequate road links. The DC directed officials to prepare a detailed report on these grievances and submit it to the SDM Nubra within a week.
In Khardong, locals sought CCTV cameras in monasteries, better school infrastructure, and flood control measures. The DC assured that these demands would be taken up with the concerned departments.
The visit was attended by SDM Nubra Mukul Beniwal, Tehsildar Diskit Tufail Iqbal, Executive Engineer R&B Nubra Shamim Ahmad, CDPO Nubra, AEE PHE Anwar, BDO Panamik, and other departmental officials.
