Kargil, November 24, 2025: The Department of Education today commenced the second round of Pre-Board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 across Ladakh, aiming to better prepare students for the upcoming CBSE board exams.
The exams began with the Class 12 English paper, conducted at 26 designated centres in Kargil district and 22 centres in Leh district. To create an examination environment similar to CBSE, the department has introduced OMR sheets and series-based question papers, designed to reflect the board’s pattern and level of difficulty.
In a move to further tighten oversight, the department deployed Observers in addition to Center Superintendents and Invigilators to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examinations. Most centres were also equipped with CCTV cameras, reinforcing transparency and monitoring.
The initiative is expected to offer students a realistic exam experience and help strengthen their readiness ahead of the final board examinations.
