Leh: Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson chaired a two-day extensive meeting on 20th and 21st September to discuss the settlement of rights in the Wildlife protected areas of Leh, Ladakh.

Dy Chairman, Executive Councillors, Councillors and BDC Chairpersons of Nubra, Changthang, and Sku Markha, DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Chief Wildlife Warden Ladakh, ADC Leh, ACR Leh, SDMs of Nubra, Nyoma, Durbuk, and Wildlife Warden, Leh attended the meeting.
CEC Gyalson asked the officers of the Wildlife Department, Ladakh to explain more in detail the legal positions of the notification issued in the year 1987 by the Govt. of the erstwhile state of J&K notifying wildlife protected areas in Ladakh.
He further stated that the time frame given by the Collector to file claims and objections shall be extended soon.
