Leh: A special medical camp was organised in the remote and largely inaccessible village of Dipling, with a medical team led by Dr Shamim Ahmad delivering healthcare services to local residents under challenging conditions.

Information shared by the Chief Secretary of Ladakh on X stated that the camp catered to patients suffering from chronic pulmonary diseases and respiratory tract infections, bringing much-needed medical attention to the far-flung area.
To support the effort, two helicopter sorties were conducted, enabling the medical team to access the village and manage critical cases. During the operation, three elderly patients who required advanced treatment were evacuated to Leh for further care.
The outreach highlights ongoing efforts by the administration to ensure last-mile healthcare delivery in Ladakh’s remote regions, where difficult terrain and limited connectivity often restrict access to medical services.
