This initiative is the result of Farmers Produce Company, Rangyoul Organic Producer Company Ltd, an initiative of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd.(NAFED) and is being promoted by the Cluster Base Business Organization (AGRIWATCH).

DFO, Kargil congratulating Rangyoul Organic Producer Company (ROPC) Ltd, said that it’s a novel idea and such flowers have great demand all over the world and a very prospective market. It’s good to hear that the Lilium result is very good in Kargil as the plant has a result of 7 to 14 buds which is above the International Average Bearing and this shows that there is a great future for floriculture in Kargil.

Chief Executive Officer of ROPC Ltd Ahmad Ali said that Ladakh has the potential to become a major international hub for floriculture and they have more than 4000 Lilium flowers ready at Farmers field. It has a lot of economic potential.
