Leh, Nov 21: The District Administration Leh reviewed Ladakh’s preparations for its participation in the International Travel Fair (ITB) Berlin 2026 during a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ghulam Mohammad (JKAS) on Thursday.
Held in the VC Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the meeting brought together key committee members responsible for planning Ladakh’s international tourism showcase. The session focused on finalising the promotional strategy and strengthening Ladakh’s presence at one of the world’s largest travel trade events scheduled for March 2026 in Germany.
The Tourism Department presented a detailed PowerPoint on the Draft Request for Proposal (RFP), outlining the online tender process for selecting a vendor. Committee members discussed the terms and conditions, suggested corrections, and recommended improvements to ensure transparency and quality. It was decided that the RFP would be updated with the suggested changes and published later in the day after final approval.
Those present included the Chief Planning Officer, Leh; Chief Controller of Finance LAHDC Leh, Dr. Zulfikar Ali; Assistant Director Tourism Leh, Padma Angmo (JKAS); along with representatives from ALTOA and ALHGHA, among other officials.
