Khaltsi, November 20, 2025:
Community Health Centre (CHC) Khaltsi today observed National Newborn Week (15–21 November 2025) by conducting an intensive capacity-building session aimed at enhancing newborn care practices and improving child health outcomes in the region.
The programme saw active participation from all Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) and paramedical staff, who engaged in sessions designed to reinforce essential skills for reducing infant mortality and ensuring safe, quality care for newborns.
Dr. Spalchen Gonbo, Consultant Paediatrician, led the training as the key resource person. His detailed session covered critical areas including:

Exclusive breastfeeding and Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC)
