Leh: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson regarding necessary preparations for the upcoming Sustainable Mountain Development Summit (SMDS) 11th Edition to be held in Leh from 9th to 12th October 2022.

The meeting was attended by Rigzin Spalbar, Convenor, Organizing Committee of SMDS XI, Jigmet Takpa (IFS), Chairperson Sustainable Development Forum of Ladakh (SDFL), Kunzes Dolma, Vice-Chairperson SDFL, and Sunetro Ghosal, General Secretary, SDFL.

SDFL presented the groundwork done to date regarding the conduct of SMDS XI along with concept notes and theme.
CEC Gyalson further gave his valuable suggestions in this regard and expressed satisfaction over the work done by SDFL in the groundwork preparation of the summit.

Furthermore, H’CEC decided to convene a meeting of all the stakeholders and concerned officials of LAHDC Leh soon to make the summit more meaningful, inclusive, and successful.
