CEC inspects work progress at Kargil House Jammu, Girls Hostel, Boys Hostel

Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan along with Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today inspected the pace of work progress on Kargil House Jammu, Girls Hostel and Boys Hostel Jammu.

The CEC and DC were accompanied by Superintending Engineer, PWD (R&B), Abdul Mutalib, Executive Engineer R&B Kargil Mohd Sadiq, and concerned JEEs and contractors were also present on the occasion.
The CEC inspected the renovation and repair work on Kargil House Jammu. He also inspected and took stock of repair and renovation works and other related facilities at Govt. Kargil Boys hostel, Channi Rama.
While interacting with students at Boys Hostel, the CEC said all types of facilities are being provided to the students and now students must work hard and try their best to compete in all exams including competitive exams.
The students thanked CEC and DC for giving a patient listing to their grievances and for providing the best possible facilities in the hostel.

Later, the CEC along with the officers also visited Kargil Girls’ Hostel at Sidhra and reviewed the undergoing works. The project was approved under the District Plan at a cost of Rs 10 cr and will provide accommodation facilities to girl students.
During the visit, the CEC expressed optimism and satisfaction over the pace of work progress on the site.
The CEC directed the SE PWD and Exn R&B Kargil to complete the work on Girls Hostel and make it functional on priority.
The CEC fixed October 31 as the target for completion of the Girls Hostel.
SE PWD, Executive Engineer, concerned JEEs and contractors were present when the directions were issued by the CEC.
