Leh: CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting with all the stakeholders to discuss the forthcoming 11th Edition of the Sustainable Mountain Development Summit (SMDS) to be held in October this year at Leh.
Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, Sustainable Development Forum of Ladakh (SDFL) briefed all the officials on the aim and objective along with the future roadmaps for conducting the Mountain Summit in Leh.

A thorough discussion and sharing of knowledge took place among the stakeholders and further stressed the need for a strong and effective resolution from the summit.
Highlighting the significance of the summit, CEC Tashi Gyalson stated that Ladakh, being in a transition period post formation of Union Territory is in need of sustainable developmental measures for dealing with the challenges in all sectors. He added that all the stakeholders have a pivotal role to play in the overall growth and development of Ladakh. He further sought assistance from them in making the summit productive and successful.

Besides, various other agendas and logistical requirements were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk, EC Minority/Forest, Ghulam Mehdi, PCCF Jigmet Takpa, DC Leh, Shrikant Suse, SP Leh, PD Nidtya, Councillors of LAHDC Leh, Director Tourism, Director ULB, ADC Leh, ADDC Leh, District HoDs from the line Departments, members of SDFL, and all the stakeholders related to Environment, Education, and Tourism of Leh, Ladakh.
