The camp will be attended by 13 super-specialist doctors from different departments of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, as listed below.

All those who are interested in consulting the doctors are requested to come at the aforementioned date and place.

Asoka Mission is a nonprofit registered society founded in 1948, and headed by Venerable Lama Lobzang since 1975. The organization has been engaged for the last 4 decades in providing charitable medical care to the people of Ladakh.

As part of its medicare initiative, Asoka Mission facilitates patients suffering from complex or advanced diseases like cancer, neurological disorders, cardiological diseases, to receive super-specialist treatment at AIIMS New Delhi. Focus is given on helping patients hailing from the remote areas of Ladakh or economically weak backgrounds. For the most needy patients, free accommodation is also provided in the premises of Asoka Mission in New Delhi.

Asoka Mission has been organizing free annual medical camps in Ladakh for 25 years with the help of super-specialist doctors from AIIMS. Thousands of patients have been screened free of cost at these camps, and the serious patients have received guidance for further treatment of their illnesses. Free medicines have also been distributed during the camps.

In addition to the upcoming camp in  Kargil, Asoka Mission will organize one more medical camp this year: a mega surgical camp in Leh from 9-15 Oct. 2022 in which knee replacement, hip replacement and plastic surgeries will be performed.
