Admin Secretary Ravinder reviews progress of departmental projects in Nubra

Leh: Administrative Secretary, UT Ladakh Ravinder Kumar during his two-day tour of Nubra Subdivision, reviewed progress of various projects being carried out by departments viz., Power, Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Youth Services and Sports, Agriculture and Horticulture Department.

The Secretary reviewed the 220Kv receiving power substation being constructed at Deskit under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) and directed the executing team to complete the project within the stipulated time period.

Later, the Secretary reviewed the functioning of the diesel power station (1500kvX2, 750KwX1) at Deskit and instructed the officials to complete maintenance and repairs of the gen-sets in preparation for the winter months. The Secretary also reviewed the progress of works at Yak farm and Fish farm and directed the executing agency to submit bills against the work done for making timely expenditures.

The Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer informed the Secretary of proposals submitted for upgradation of Tirith and Terchey farms under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) and release of pending funds under the scheme.
On the second day, Secretary Ravinder visited the remote village of Hunder Drok where he interacted with the villagers, who requested the Secretary for completion of power connection to which the Secretary assured prompt action.

The Secretary also interacted with Councillors and PRI’s of the region.
