Tangyar, Nubra: Continuing the district administration’s outreach efforts under the Mimang-si-rJabstogs – Administrative at Your Doorstep initiative, a public service camp was held today in Tangyar village, chaired by Tehsildar Diskit Tufail Iqbal. The camp aimed to deliver essential government services and welfare schemes directly to residents.
During the programme, ZEO Diskit Sonam Dolker briefed villagers on PM Poshan, Inclusive Education, transport and escort provisions, pre-primary support, sports and education initiatives, excursion fee assistance, and women’s self-defence training. She also urged parents to boost enrollment in government schools, stressing that all educational facilities are provided free of cost.
Dr. Motup Angmo, Block Veterinary Officer Diskit, highlighted key livestock-related schemes, including the National Animal Disease Control Programme, livestock tagging, deworming, KCC loan facilities, nutrition support, subsidies for nomadic herders, and dairy development.
From the financial sector, JK Bank Manager Tashi Motup explained PMJJY and SBY insurance schemes, KCC loans, and land development financing.
BMO Diskit Dr. Fantom underlined the importance of Golden Cards, Vay Vandana Cards, mobile-Aadhaar linking, and flu vaccination, urging villagers to utilise all available health services.
Chief Inspector Mohd Toha from Food & Civil Supplies briefed residents on ration card categories, while representatives from other departments also presented their schemes and addressed public queries.
Tehsildar Tufail Iqbal appreciated the participation of all departments and said the initiative—launched by the Deputy Commissioner Leh—ensures that administration and essential services reach villagers at their doorstep.
A large number of residents attended the camp, availing services including 15 ABHA Health IDs, 5 Golden Cards, 15 Ladakh Residence Certificates, 6 Domicile Certificates, and several other essential documents.
