Leh, Nov 19 — A detailed training session was organised today for officials deputed for the upcoming LAHD SSRB examination, aiming to ensure the test is conducted smoothly, transparently and without procedural lapses.
The session opened with a comprehensive presentation by Rehmatullah Butt (JKAS), Secretary LAHD SSRB and Deputy Director, District Employment & Counselling Centre Leh. He walked participants through every stage of the examination process — from pre-exam preparations to post-exam material handling.
Key aspects covered included the duties of superintendents, the role of invigilators, use of only black or blue ballpoint pens, timelines for opening and distributing question papers, seating plan protocols, OMR sheet distribution, candidate verification, proper OMR filling instructions, safeguards for sensitive material, sealing and packing procedures, and the reporting mechanism for irregularities.
Emphasising strict compliance, Butt instructed officials to avoid independent decision-making that could compromise the integrity of the exam. In case of any uncertainty, staff were advised to immediately consult the centre supervisor rather than acting on their own.
A Q&A session allowed participants to raise doubts and seek clarifications, ensuring uniform understanding of procedures across all centres.
The training, being conducted in four phases, covered two groups in morning and afternoon sessions today. The remaining groups will undergo training tomorrow, November 20.
ADDC Leh, Sonam Nurboo (JKAS), and HQ to DC Leh, Rigzin Yangdol (JKAS), also attended the session. ADDC Nurboo highlighted the crucial role of such training programmes in ensuring the fair and efficient conduct of the forthcoming examination.
