Leh, November 12: Continuing the “Mimangs-Si-SJhabstogs” (Administration at Your Doorstep) campaign, a public outreach camp was successfully held today at Gya Meru village in the Kharu Sub-Division, aimed at strengthening grassroots governance and ensuring last-mile delivery of welfare schemes.

The camp saw participation from around 20 departments, offering a wide range of on-spot public services to local residents. The Food and Civil Supplies Department facilitated new ration card enrollments, while the Health Department conducted health screenings, generated ABHA IDs, and distributed PMJAY (Golden) Cards.

Awareness sessions on pension schemes, digital banking, and cyber fraud prevention were organized by J&K Bank, while the ICDS Department processed PMMVY benefits and created APAAR IDs. The Social Welfare Department enrolled beneficiaries under pension and scholarship schemes, and the Agriculture Department supported KCC and PM-KISAN registrations.

The Rural Development Department provided job card issuance and eKYC services, while Self Help Groups (SHGs) under LRLM showcased their local products, promoting women-led entrepreneurship.

Additionally, the Sheep and Animal Husbandry Department distributed medicines and antiparasitic sprays. Ongoing projects under PWD, Rural Development, Irrigation and Flood Control, and PHE Departments were reviewed, and several local issues were addressed on the spot.

Residents also received domicile, ST, and resident certificates, along with mutation documents, while Aadhaar enrollment and corrections were facilitated by the Education and Rural Departments.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers, reflecting growing public trust in the administration’s effort to ensure efficient, transparent, and accessible governance at the grassroots level.
