CAT Jammu Bench conducts Circuit Sitting at Alternate Dispute Redressal Centre, Melongthang, Leh

Leh: Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Jammu Bench, comprising Hon’ble Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Member (Judicial/HoD), and Hon’ble Mrs. Pragya Sahay Saxena, Member (Administrative), conducted the Circuit Sitting on 23rd August 2025 at the Alternate Dispute Redressal Centre, Melongthang, Leh.
All necessary arrangements for the sitting were made by the Department of Law and Justice, UT of Ladakh. Law Officers and Legal Assistants from the department also attended the proceedings and extended support throughout the session.
During the sitting, the Bench heard cases pertaining to Leh. A total of nineteen cases were listed, out of which four matters were dismissed, one Original Application (OA) was disposed of, and one contempt petition was closed, as informed by Shri Ravi Prakash, Court Officer. The majority of the cases were related to transfers, recruitments, and SSC examination matters.
The proceedings were further facilitated by a five-member support team including Smt. Indrani Nath, Shri Ashok Kumar Sharma, and Shri Ravi Prakash, alongside the Hon’ble Members.
The next Circuit Sitting of the CAT at Leh is scheduled for 1st November 2025.
