KARGIL: Chairman and Chief Executive LAHDC Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon Monday chaired a review meeting of the Health department here at Council Secretariat.
During the meeting threadbare deliberation and discussions were held on the various works undergoing through the department.
The CEC took a detailed review of the ongoing works including various Central sponsored health schemes, during which he took assessment of the progress of Central Sponsored Schemes.
The CEC took detailed assessment of the works and facilities provided at District Hospital Kargil, CHC’s NTPHCS besides medical sub centres across the district.
During the meeting discussion and review were held on the upgradation of District Hospital Kargil, Upgradation of PHC’s, NTPHC and AAM.
The CEC also took review of the Sanctioning of new healthcare centres in the district and discussions were also held on the need for establishment of Super speciality hospital (Mini AIIMS), further the establishment of Nursing College was also discussed during the meeting.
The CEC stressed on the early redressal of the grievances and genuine issues of patients and called to provide better healthcare facilities for the patients on missionary spirit.
The CEC also took assessment of the recruitment of pharmacists and drivers besides the CEC called for sensitisation training of nurses and other staff from time to time to provide better facilities to the patients.
During the meeting various issues and the grievances of the department were discussed in detail.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Dr Liaqat Ali Khan, Medical Superintendent Dr Mohd Abbas, Dy. CMO Dr Fatima Banoo, Nodal Officer Mental Health Department Dr Fatima Nisa and other concerned officers of the department.
