LEH: Traffic Wing Ladakh Police, alongside esteemed partners Jammu Kashmir Bank, National Insurance and Medical Department UT Ladakh, orchestrated a combined awareness session for Bus Union/ Masda Union at Leh in alignment Road Safety Awareness Month.
This gathering focused on critical road safety measures and government initiatives. JK Bank senior manager, Toldan, shed light on key schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, aiming to alleviate financial burdens post-road accidents.
National Insurance officer Angmo emphasized the importance of insurance and new amendments in the motor vehicle act 2019, leading to 45 members of the Bus Union/Masda Union enrolling in these central government schemes.
Superintendent of Police, Mujeeb ur Rehman, and Dy. SP Traffic Wing, Baqir, shared crucial road safety measures to reduce accidents. Dr. Mutup, Medical Superintendent was also present during the event, he demonstrated basic safety procedures like CPR, highlighting the importance of post-accident trauma care.
This collaborative effort involving Traffic Wing Ladakh, Medical Team Leh, National Insurance, and Jammu Kashmir Bank reflects a shared commitment to fostering road safety awareness.
