Kargil: A nine-day Usha Silai School capacity building programme organised by Ladakhi Craft and Design Skill Centre Government Degree College Kargil and supported by Usha International Ltd on the other day.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Prof. Tashi Ldawa, Director College Affairs and Prof. Deskyong Namgyal, Controller of Examination, University of Ladakh.
The capacity building training will focus on three major components i.e sewing machine installation and repairing, Stitching and Soft Skills development.
On the occasion, Dr Javed Iqbal Naqi, Field Coordinator Usha Silai Schools Kargil briefed the gathering about the agenda of the training being provided to the women folk of Kargil.
Shaista Ayoob, State Manager Usha Care gave an overview of the program and talked about scopes of the training program.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Tashi Ldawa, Director College Affairs appreciated Ladakhi Craft and Design Skill Centre and Usha International Ltd. for the joint initiative of Silai Schools to enable the women of Kargil to be self-reliant and empowered.
