KARGIL: Zanskar Lab staff diligently conducted on-the-spot water testing across various villages in Zanskar, Kargil on Monday.

Ensuring safe and clean water for communities remains top priority. Water testing is a broad description for various procedures used to analyze water quality.

Water testing is important for monitoring the quality of water supply, verification of the safety of drinking water, investigation of disease outbreaks, as a validation process and to undertake preventive measures.

Water quality testing tools need to be used for deciding safety of drinking water at the source; within the piped distribution system; or at the point of supply to consumers.
