Leh, June 19: The District-Level Senior Science Exhibition 2026 concluded successfully at DIET Leh, showcasing innovative projects by students from government and private schools across the district under the theme “STEM for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
Organized under the Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani (NCERT), the exhibition provided a platform for young innovators to present scientific solutions in areas such as sustainable agriculture, green energy, emerging technologies, waste management, health and hygiene, and water conservation.
Addressing the valedictory function, Bhanu Prabha, Secretary, School Education Department, UT Ladakh, lauded the students for their creativity, scientific temperament, and innovative thinking. She encouraged participants to continue pursuing research and innovation, stressing that every scientific idea contributes to building a self-reliant India.
Earlier, Principal DIET Leh, Mirza Mehdi, highlighted the importance of nurturing scientific temper and critical thinking among students, while expert speaker Subrat Sharma, Project Director of Rashtriya Raksha University Ladakh Campus, inspired students to embrace innovation and technological advancement.
Among the standout performers, LM HSS Boys Leh and GHSS Sakti emerged as top achievers, securing multiple first-place positions across various categories.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a vote of thanks to participating schools, teachers, students, judges, and stakeholders for making the exhibition a grand success.
