
Yash Pal Sharma for mass level awareness regarding women’s rights
Leh: Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Nubra observed International Women’s Week at Nubra.
Principal, District and Session Judge, Leh/Chairman, District Chairman Legal Services, Leh, Yash Pal Sharma asserted that awareness regarding laws has to be created at mass level so that women are aware about their rights.
He added that a society cannot develop until and unless women are empowered.
Munsiff/Chairman TLSC Nubra, Chemat Yourgail talked about Section 125 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPc) which lays down the law regarding the granting of maintenance of wives, children and parents.
Similarly, Advocate Rigzin Dolker talked about the rights of women provided under various laws.
HODs of various Dept; Women Association of Diskit and Hunder and teaching staff were present during the event.
