Kargil: To raise awareness about Viral Hepatitis and mark the observance of World Hepatitis Day,’ was observed at Community Health Centre Sankoo Kargil With this year’s theme ‘Its Time For Action’, organised by Block Medical Officer Sankoo.
The event was attended by Dr Zahida Khatun Block Medical Officer CHC Sankoo,Dr Syed Iftikhar Hussain (Physician) & Paramedic staff of Community Health Centre were also present here.
While Speaking on the occasion Dr Syed Iftikhar Hussain (Physician) emphasized the importance of educating to the participants about risks associated with Hepatitis disease and promoting preventive measures.
Further he provided insights on hepatitis types, transmission, and the importance of early detection.
World Hepatitis Day is observed every year on July 28 to raise awareness about Hepatitis a serious liver disease that can be caused due to bacteria, viruses or parasites.
The day was an opportunity for all to get a detailed knowledge about Hepatitis its causes, prevention, treatment and care.
