World Earth Day celebrated with cleanliness drive in Kargil

Kargil: In Ladakh, on the occasion of World Earth Day, The Tropicalist Trust and Besleri India joined hands to organise an impactful cleanliness drive in Kargil, aimed at fostering environmental consciousness and responsibility among the youth.

The event, held in collaboration with Govt High School Saliskote, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 50 students, along with teachers showcasing a proactive approach towards addressing pressing environmental concerns.

Shabir Hussain Fayaz, representing The Tropicalist Trust, delivered an insightful address highlighting the detrimental effects of plastic waste on health and the environment.

Emphasizing the importance of proper waste management practices, Fayaz urged the community to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic materials to combat pollution effectively.

The initiative not only promotes cleanliness but also instils lifelong habits of environmental stewardship in the younger generation.

By educating students about the hazards of plastic waste and practical solutions for managing it, Fayaz and The Tropicalist Trust are empowering them to become agents of positive change in their communities.
