Nyoma, Ladakh — A special lecture on the role and contributions of women officers and soldiers in the Indian Army was conducted at Government Senior Secondary High School, Nyoma, drawing strong participation from girl students. The session highlighted the increasing presence of women in various combat and support arms of the Army, while also introducing students to the different entry schemes and career pathways available to serve the nation.
Educators and Army representatives noted the enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the students, whose confidence and determination reflect the aspirations of young Ladakh. The event aimed to inspire more girls from remote regions to consider careers in the armed forces and to recognize the growing role of women in strengthening India’s defense services.
