Leh: Dr Abdul Jalil, Medical Officer called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. Secretary, GAD, Ladakh, Micheal D’ Souza was present in the meeting.
Dr Jalil apprised the LG that his apportionment is under process between UT of Ladakh and J&K and informed that his name has not been included in the seniority list recently published by the Directorate of Health Services, Ladakh. Dr Jalil requested the LG to early redressal of his apportionment issue.
The LG instructed Secretary, GAD, Ladakh, Micheal D’ Souza to examine and solve the issue.
A delegation comprising of selected candidates for the posts of Orderly in LAHD-SSRB Leh called on the LG at LG Secretariat.
Secretary to LG, Ravinder Kumar, IAS; Secretary, GAD Ladakh, Micheal D’ Souza were present in the meeting.
The delegates apprised the LG that they are selected for the post of Orderly in various departments and get an offer of appointment from different departments. They informed that the LAHD-SSRB has given an option to opt the department.
They further informed that they got the department as per merit and some of the candidates were left and vacant the department wise posts. They requested the HLG to give a chance to join and to opt the department as per merit.
Secretary, GAD, Ladakh informed that the department has already issued an offer of appointment to the selected candidates and the period of acceptance of appointment is 21 days. The LG instructed Secretary, GAD, Ladakh Micheal D’ Souza to examine the case.
Mohd Saqlain, working as Orderly at Agriculture Department, Kargil called on the LG at LG Secretariat.

Saqlain apprised the LG that he has been selected for the BSc Agriculture at SKUAST Kashmir and he applied for the study leave for higher studies. He requested the LG to give study leave. Secretary, GAD, Ladakh Micheal D’ Souza informed the LG about the procedure for the grant of study leave of Government employees.
He informed that the employee working in the Government department should need minimum service of 5 years and get 1 year period of study leave. The LG instructed Secretary, GAD, Ladakh Micheal D’ Souza to examine the case.
