Leh: The picturesque village of Wanla came alive with vibrant colors, traditional chants, and cultural grandeur as the Wanla Lonpo Festival 2025 commenced at the historic Wanla Khar.
The festival was inaugurated in the presence of the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The celebrations began with the auspicious Losar Apo dance, a traditional performance deeply rooted in Ladakhi customs, symbolizing good fortune, spiritual blessings, and communal harmony.
Monks, locals, and visitors gathered at the majestic heritage site to witness the opening ceremony that set the tone for a multi-day cultural spectacle.
