LEH: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program was successfully conducted Thursday at Halqa Panchayat Choglamsar-II of Leh Block, UT Ladakh under the chairmanship of chairperson Block Development Council, Leh (Dr. Skalzang Dorjey).

Besides, a special guest Chairperson BDC Durbuk, Konchok Phuntsog, and Singer Dorjay Stakmo attended the event.

Over 130 people actively participated in the program. Besides, many stalls were set up by different departments to provide on-spot services showcasing their flagship schemes fostering awareness and engagement.

The Sarpanch of Halqa Panchayat, Choglamsar-II, Urgain Tsering started the program with a welcome speech followed by a screening of recorded message by the President of India Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the IEC Van.

Presentation by various Departments such as RDD, Revenue, ICDS, and FCS&CA regarding their main objectives and implementing procedures of their respective flagship schemes were presented by concerned Officers/Resource persons.

During the event, beneficiaries under SBM (G) and FCS&CA shared their success stories and motivated other participants to actively take benefits of available schemes.

The event also featured a few cultural performances by the villagers of Choglamsar II, school students of Riglam Public School, and the singer of Leh Dorjay Stakmo showcasing the rich heritage of Ladakh.

One of the highlights of the event was the comprehensive health screening camp of the health department and Aaadhar updation service provided by Education Department & Aadhaar updation Cell, where majority of attendees availed the benefit of the camp.

In addition, Self Help Group (SHG) under NRLM installed two stalls to sell their knitted shawls, scarves, hats, socks, and sweaters made of local wool.

The event was successfully concluded with the vote of thanks, delivered by the Nambardar of Choglamsar-Il village.
