Leh, Dec 8: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, held constructive meetings with multiple delegations at the LG Secretariat today.
A delegation of Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) physical education teachers, led by former MP Shri Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, requested the regularisation of their positions, highlighting nearly seven years of dedicated service at government schools across Ladakh.
Another delegation of NCC cadets, led by Col Lobzang Nima (Retd), Director of Rajya Sainik Board, UT Ladakh, met the LG as part of the Armed Forces Flag Day collection drive. The cadets presented the flag, symbolising respect and support for the armed forces.
Pankaj Sangral, Chairman of Sanjeevni Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Kargil, discussed plans to establish a BSc Nursing College in Kargil.
A delegation from Poyen raised local concerns, including inadequate drinking water supply in Kargil town and the need to rationalise subsidy components for LAHDC Kargil Councillors to ensure benefits reach all intended recipients.
The LG assured all delegations of the UT Administration’s commitment to addressing their concerns through timely and effective interventions for the welfare and development of Ladakh’s residents.
