UT Level Table Tennis championship concludes at NDS Stadium Leh

Leh: Table Tennis Association of Ladakh (registered & affiliated to the Table Tennis Federation of India) in collaboration with Youth services & Sports organized 1st UT Ladakh level Table Tennis championship- 2023 which concluded Saturday here at NDS stadium Leh.

Under 17 boys, under 17 girls, Men’s singles, Men’s doubles, Women’s singles and Women’s doubles matches have been played by participants from Leh and Kargil.

Secretary Youth & Sports UT Ladakh was the chief guest whereas CEO LAHDC, Leh and JD Youth & Sports UT Ladakh were the guests of honour.

The occasion was graced by the presence of respected guests from respective religious organizations viz V.P. LBA Tscring Lakruk, V.P. AMI Adv. Ramzan. President Anjuman lmamia Ashraf Barcha and President Christian Association Rev. Dechen. Lower Leh councilor Tsering Namgyal was also special guest for the occasion.

President Table Tennis Association of Ladakh Thupstan Tsering Wanyal presented a Memorandum to the secretary Sports UT Ladakh and requested the following:

1. Round the year availability of indoor stadium with operational washrooms and heating provision exclusively for Table Tennis players,
2. World class TT tables, bats/rackeis and balls approved by TTFI,
3. Changing area with cloak room facility for both male and female.
4. Space for office with washroom and kitchen area with other necessary amenities like furniture, heating, etc.
5. Sufficient fund on yearly basts for smoother all year round organization of Table Tennis coaching and tournaments.
