UT level Coordination Committee formed for convergence among twin departments

LEH: The government of Ladakh union territory Tuesday constituted a UT level Coordination Committee for Convergence between Programmes of Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Department of Rural Development.

According to an order, which read, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the Constitution of UT level Coordination Committee for Convergence between Programmes of Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Department of Rural Development in the Union territory of Ladakh.”

The UT level committee will be chaired by Administrative Secretaries of the twin departments.

Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, and Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department will be the Co-Chairperson (s) of the committee.

Whereas, Director, Horticulture Ladakh will be the Member/ Convener, Mission Director-Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission will also be the Member of the committee, District Agriculture Officer, Leh, and Kargil will be Member (s), and any other member co-opted by the Chairperson(s) will be the Co-opted Member of the committee.
