Union Minister Parshottam Rupala inaugurates private fish units in Leh

LEH: Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India, Parshottam Rupala marked the third anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) by inaugurating private fish units established under this transformative scheme.

The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), launched three years ago, is a visionary initiative aimed at revolutionizing the fisheries sector in India.

It focuses on enhancing fish production, doubling farmers’ incomes, generating employment opportunities, and promoting sustainable practices within the fisheries and aquaculture industry.

The officials of Fisheries Department, Leh UT Ladakh witnessed the launch.
