Reservation of seats for Ladakh students: LG to take matter with J&K Admn

Transfer of 432 posts: LG thanks PM, HM for their support

Leh: Continuing to work with commitment to improve employment opportunities for the youth in Ladakh, a total of 432 posts of constables have been transferred by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The order issued by the Financial Commissioner/Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department of Government of Jammu and Kashmir, No: HOME-PNG/201/2021-01 (CC-45001) issued on September 11, 2023, states, ‘Sanction is hereby accorded to the transfer of 270 posts of Constables (Level-2(19900-63200)) in Border Battalions and 162 posts of Constables (Level-2 (1900-63200)) in Women Battalions, from Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir to Union territory of Ladakh.

Recently, Ladakh Police issued an advertisement notice for 298 posts of constable executive, armed/IRP, HG/CD/SDRF/telecommunication cadre in Ladakh Police.

Expressing his happiness over the news, the LG stated that the UT Administration is committed to providing jobs to the Ladakhi youth. He thanked the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah for their substantial support for the bright future of the Ladakhi youth.

He also assured to take up necessary measures to expedite the declaration of the result of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Selection Posts/Ladakh/2022.
