KARGIL: The 2-Day training program under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) on best practices for rural water resources management concluded in Kargil on Wednesday.
The training program was organized by All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG) an empanelled agency under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, GoI, for the engineers of JJM, including the Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) and Junior Engineers (JEs) of Kargil district.
The training session focused on topics such as overview of JJM and its components, ice-breaking activities, water supply infrastructure development, rainwater harvesting, community participation, groundwater management, problems related to water availability in rural areas of Kargil district, water quality concepts and principles, techniques for ensuring safe drinking water in rural area, challenges in water quality management, etc.
During the program, an interactive question-and-answer session was held. Various queries were addressed, and constructive feedback was gathered, enhancing the overall experience and knowledge-sharing during the event.
