Kargil: A comprehensive training program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of District Kargil was successfully organized by the IT Team of the Election Cell, DC Office Kargil Thursday at the SMM Auditorium Hall, Kargil.
The training was conducted with the objective of equipping BLOs with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the upcoming Summary Revision of the Photo Electoral Roll.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from all BLOs across the district, including those posted in remote areas such as Zanskar, who joined the training through an online platform, ensuring complete coverage and inclusivity.
The training was presided over by Amin Master trainer who provided an in-depth orientation to the BLOs on various critical aspects of their responsibilities.
Amin’s address covered topics like, criteria for eligibility to be registered as a voter, responsibilities of BLOs, updating and verifying entries in the electoral roll, assisting citizens in filling various forms, guidelines and code of conduct, handling claims for inclusion, deletion, correction, and transposition, guidelines for resolving objections, dress code and professional behavior during field duties, guidelines for telephonic communication with citizens and election officials, common mistakes to avoid, use of BLO Register and other necessary instructions.
The training concluded with an interactive session where BLOs actively participated in discussions, raised queries regarding form filling, and sought clarifications on doubts.
The session helped in resolving operational challenges faced during fieldwork, thereby strengthening preparedness for the summary revision process.
