Training on canopy management of Apricot, Apple trees conducted in Sumoor

Leh: A training programme on canopy management of apricot and apple trees was conducted on March 10 at Sumoor village . 

Retired Joint Director, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat along with HDO Nubra, Dr. Sonam Dawa  were technical expert. 

The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among the farmers regarding pruning and pest management of apricot and apple orchard. 

Around 120 farmers participated and tool kits were also distributed to farmers at subsidised rates. 

The public representatives from different villages of Siachen belt, Sarpances and Gobas were present.
