Kargil : Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, during his visit to Drass, met with representatives of religious, political, and civil society organisations to understand local concerns and aspirations.
The LG said the primary aim of his visit was to interact directly with the people of the sub-division to learn about their issues and appreciate their culture. He assured residents that their voices will guide the administration’s priorities, and he pledged to work collaboratively with the people of Ladakh.
Highlighting ongoing development in Drass, the LG informed that key projects such as the Court Complex, Degree College, and Revenue Complex are being fast-tracked and will be completed soon.
Stressing the importance of tourism for the region, LG Kavinder stated that exploring the tourism potential of Drass will remain a top priority for the UT Administration. He also emphasized the need to create livelihood opportunities for youth to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth in the region.
