
Tourism deptt holds cleanliness drive at Chumathang Hot Spring
NYOMA: Ladakh Tourism Department Monday held a cleanliness drive at the Chumathang Hot Spring in Nyoma sub-division.
The drive was held to observe International Day for Biological Diversity.
Nestled amidst the rugged landscapes of Ladakh at an elevation of 3,950 meters, this natural wonder; Chumathang Hot Spring invites you to experience the healing powers of its mineral-rich waters. The spring is known for its hot, sulphuric water that bubbles up from the ground near the banks of the Indus River.
Known for its therapeutic properties, the hot springs have been a source of relaxation and rejuvenation for centuries and is believed to be beneficial for a variety of health conditions, including skin diseases and joint pain.
