
Teachers felicitated for exceptional contribution in Ladakh’s education sector
Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson attended the felicitation ceremony of teachers organised by the School Education Department, UT of Ladakh in Leh today. The event was organised to felicitate and honor teachers’ exceptional contributions to the education sector.
Lt. Governor Ladakh, Brig. Dr. B.D. Mishra (Retd.) graced the occasion as the chief guest. Other dignitaries and guests included Principal Secretary School Education Department, Sanjeev Khirwar; Director School Education Ladakh, Tsering Paldan, and various other distinguished guests and teaching fraternity led by the Chief Education Officers of both Leh and Kargil.
Principals, Headmasters, Lecturers, and masters were felicitated by the Lt. Governor acknowledging their exemplary services.
In his address, CEC Tashi Gyalson congratulated all the honored teachers and emphasised the important responsibility of teachers in nurturing young minds with their efforts. H’CEC also highlighted the important role played by educators in establishing a good foundation for the newly formed UT of Ladakh and highlighted the historical contributions of H.E Kushok Bakula Rinpoche in strengthening Ladakh’s education sector in earlier times.
CEC Gyalson also shed light on several initiatives taken at both the Council and UT levels including the establishment of Digi-Labs in remote schools, the provision of subsidised laptops to meritorious students, distribution of educational tablets (Yon-Tabs) to students during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, and various other initiatives. He further urged all the awardees to serve with the same dedication and encourage others to collectively ensure the quality of education in all the schools of Ladakh.
