Following fresh snowfall, traffic movement on the Zojila Axis of NH-1D was severely affected as slippery road conditions led to vehicle skidding at several vulnerable stretches, posing serious risks to commuters.
Responding swiftly, personnel from Minamarg Police Station of Ladakh Police immediately sprang into action and secured the affected sections by spreading mud and gravel, enabling stranded vehicles to move safely. Their prompt intervention helped restore traffic flow in a short span of time.
Due to the alertness and dedication of the police team on the ground, traffic was restored smoothly and no casualties were reported. The timely response prevented major disruption on the strategic route connecting Ladakh with Kashmir.
