Leh: In a much-awaited decision, the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of LAHDC, Leh, has officially announced the commencement of the Summer Vacation for all Government and Private Schools as well as Anganwadi Kendras in the district.
According to Order No. 222/Adm of 2025, issued on July 17, the summer break will begin from July 21 and will continue till August 4, marking a 15-day holiday period. The announcement comes in reference to a letter issued by the Chief Education Officer, Leh (No: Misc-1/9403) and with the formal approval of the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh (Education).
The decision aims to provide students and staff a much-needed respite during the peak summer season of Ladakh. Schools and parents across the district have welcomed the move, with many planning local trips, cultural events, and family engagements during the holidays.
Classes will resume as usual from Monday, August 5, 2025.
