Sukhadeve directs to complete 100% FHTCs at all Anganwadis, Schools before April 15

DC Santosh chairs review meeting of Jal Jeevan Mission
Kargil: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Chairman District Water and Sanitation Mission, Santosh Sukhadeve Monday chaired a review meeting of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) here at DC Office.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion and deliberation were followed to review the physical and financial and other works related to JJM in the district.

Regarding the status of hiring of IEC Coordinator, DC Kargil directed to engage the resource person within a week. He was informed that District Lab is under process for NABL accreditation, further advertisement has been done for the hiring of water quality Lab Members.

The DC Kargil further directed to complete the target 100 percent FHTCs at all Anganwadis and Schools of the district before April 15, 2023.

DC Santosh also took an assessment of bore wells installed and plan for installation. Regarding the installation of solar water heaters in schools, he directed to complete the works at the earliest.

During the meeting, DC Santosh directed the concerned department to share the list of Ladakh Green Houses in the district with PHE Department and further directed to make it mandatory for the installation of FHTCs in all Ladakh Green Houses.

Regarding the works of JJM in Kargil, DC Kargil directed the concerned officers to resume the works where ever snow accumulation is least at the earliest considering the limited working season.

Regarding the works of Grey Water Management, DC Kargil was informed that out of 18,041 works taken 16,412 works have been completed.

DC Santosh also took a detailed assessment of the current physical progress of FHTCs, status of 100 percent completed saturation villages/HGJ certification of these villages, action taken on the directions given in the recent Apex Body Committee meeting and other works.

DC Kargil reiterated that it’s a visionary scheme and asserted the concerned officers to make all efforts in successful completion of this scheme. He also directed to complete the pending works at the earliest.

Superintending Engineer PHE, I&FC Kargil Maqbool Hussain, Project Officer Wages (ACD) Kargil Ghulam Mohammad, Chief Planning Officer Kargil Abdul Hadi, Executive Engineer PHE Kargil Mohammad Hassan, AD Information Kargil and District Panchayat Officer Kargil, Padma Angmo, Concerned AEEs of PHE Sub Division, District Team Leader JJM Kargil besides concerned officers were present during the meeting.
