Leh: Police Headquarters of Union Territory Ladakh has successfully concluded an important orientation session Tuesday in conference hall of PHQ, UT Ladakh.
This session was focused on the newly amended major criminal laws: the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act (BNSS), 2023; the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), 2023; and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSSS), 2023. The event was initiated under the guidance of the Deputy Inspector General, LKR.
The session featured presentations from the newly appointed Public Officers (POs) of the prosecution department, under the mentorship of the Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) and Senior PO of Leh/Kargil.
The primary aim was to acquaint the officers with the intricacies of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, as well as to formulate a strategic roadmap for their effective implementation in UT Ladakh.
This orientation marks a significant milestone in enhancing the legal acumen of the law enforcement officials in Ladakh and reflects the commitment of Ladakh Police towards a deep understanding and robust application of the law.
The department extends its appreciation to all officers who attended this crucial session and remains dedicated to ensuring the continuous professional development of its personnel for the effective upholding of justice in Ladakh.
