Leh, November 15:
The district-wide outreach initiative Mimangs-Si-Sjapstogs—“Administration at Your Doorstep”—witnessed a strong public response at Lagsam Tsogspa Hall in Stok, where hundreds of residents gathered to access essential government services without the need to travel.
Nodal Officer Thinles Dawa, addressing the large turnout, described the programme as a landmark effort aimed at ensuring that welfare schemes and services reach citizens efficiently and conveniently. He encouraged villagers to make full use of the rare opportunity and appreciated the enthusiastic participation.
The camp provided a wide range of on-the-spot services, including ration card inclusion for individuals above six years of age, e-KYC updates, Aadhaar enrollment, agricultural subsidy facilitation, job card services, insurance form assistance, and basic health screenings such as blood pressure and sugar tests. Representatives from multiple departments were present for grievance redressal and service facilitation.
Officials from Agriculture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Health, Horticulture, Education, Banking, Cooperatives, RDD, PDD, PHE, and Social Welfare departments participated in the outreach. Around 20 officials and nearly 250 villagers attended the event.
Throughout the day-long camp, villagers actively availed the services offered. The facilitation counters recorded 20 e-KYC registrations, around 40 Aadhaar enrollments, 22 new ration card member additions, one digital payment QR code issuance, 10 insurance forms filled, 6 PDMC forms issued for micro-irrigation installation, and 4 new bank accounts opened—reflecting strong community engagement with essential civic, financial, and welfare services.
